Dear Teacher Gabrielle,
I have never been a fan of radio programs giving advices to those who are with love problems not until I've had my own. I've always thought that crying it all out would be the best solution or rather, act as if nothing's happened... But listening to lovers' problems made me realize I might need one to advice me too.
I am such a major big looser when it comes to loving. My friends would usually ask for my opinion when it comes to their lovelife. That's the irony. And I hate it a lot. It seems like I'm one brainless lad, totally forgot what she's been sharing with others.
And here it goes... I used to work in Manila as a call center agent. I would just visit Ormoc for short vacations. Recently, I came home for a 3-day vacation and to cut it short, I met this 21 year old guy. I must admit he;s cute, has the good choiceon clothes and totally appealing. I spent much of my time with him rather than my family and sacrificed reunions with friends... Eventually, we have fallen inlove with each other or should I say, I did fall inlove. So much. His sweetness, his generosity and everything. Sounding both bitter and inlove am I?
I may have been so stupid then for not having realized that it'll end like this. He never introduced me to his family for all those times we've been together. It could've seemed so short. 3 days... But I managed to introduce him to my family... Know what's crazier? He made me promise to work here instead. And I did. I had to go back to file my formal resignation because in my heart, it was all set. "He's the man," I thought... I didn't even wonder why in my 2nd day in Manila, he stopped communicating with me anymore... I don't know what made me push my resignation still despite of that...
I at once flew back because I was missing him already. Eventually, I expected him to fetch me at the Tacloban Airport just like when I left. It's impossible if somebody would tell me I didn't tell him. I did.
So there. I arrived at around 2:50PM and with full of excitement turned my cellphone back on... There were 10 messages unread but of course I opened the message from Charles. It read: "I will always love you my Danielle... You have been a blessing to me..." Honestly, I was delighted knowing that but I twinged because there was something more... It said: "My ex-girlfriend is pregnant and I am the father... I'm sorry but it has to end this way... I can'y continue to hurt you because of this..."
It was like all the lights were turned on before I opened the message but suddenly, there was a major black-out. I couldn't see anymore for tears suddenly rushed down my cheeks... The power that kept me holding failed me... When all the stupidity in the whole wide world came in, most of it came to me...
Teacher Gab... I need you to please enlighten me right now. I am home doing nothing. A part of me still hoping for him to text... A part of me hates him for doing this to me... He may claim this isn't his fault but he has a choice, right? I don't know what to do really... I've given up a lot just for him... Please help me.

My Big Kuya's Upcoming Wedding
It seems like yesterday when all our worries were all about toys, candies and new clothes... Living in the provincial part of Leyte is never very easy. When you're a little bit older, you might think you are deprived of a lot of things because you're not as wealthy as the people living in the cities.
Kuya Pat as he is known to us, seemed so serious with his studies being the eldest in the family and wanting to get a little bit away from poverty. The family we belong to is never too poor or not even wealthy but still, we want to see ourselves soaring in success. For children you may see now walking 1 km from the house to their school, it may seem fun for them but actually, it's their agony. To Kuya, it was indeed a relief after graduation. Got a good job, studied again and now, about to be wed.
Although they already have a pretty baby, they'll still see themselves walking in the church aisle of Palo Cathedral Church on October 10, 2010. A triple ten date for a wedding. Good choice!
He and Ate Althea will soon face before the altar and be blessed by God with the little bride Esther Bernice...
To both of you, Congratulations and Best Wishes in Advance! I made this simple logo for you but please let me know if you have corrections or if it doesn't pass your standards.. :-D

2010: A Year of a Deeper Friendship
"We keep on shining and on smiling because we know we have each other... to lean on... to be with... to listen... laugh or cry with..."It's a matter of keeping a heart with a "know-how" when you would want to have friends like them who keeps you get going.. who inspires you a lot and all that.
Nor, Cha, Jo, Glaiz and I went on a Christmas Break Escapade to Baybay-Maasin-Albuera-Ormoc... It was so much fun and the trip has been very much relaxing not to mention the "no sleeps" and the "no silence". We had time to chill out while i tried to get some information about the spots we visited and took some inspiration from the beautiful view to be able to write my articles..
7:00p.m, December 26, 2009. I arrived at Tugas, Baybay, Leyte from Ormoc. A day after Christmas, right? Yes! I wasn't with my family after Christmas! :-D
When i got there, my friends were already wet and wild from the beach! I felt so envious! But i told Jo anyway that we have to go to the beach by Monday.
After dinner, Niño (Jo's bf) invited us to go to a karaoke slot almost a kilometer away from where we were staying. Gosh. But it was sulit anyway! It was his treat! (Thanks Niño!)
We went home at around 2 in the morning and guess what?! We still had to go to Maasin to hike early that Sunday!!! Grabeh! As in we had to wake up at 5a.m so we could still freshen up and eat... It took us 2 hours and 15 minutes to get to Hanginan and climbed an hour to reach the top!
But guess what? It was so much fun! The view from above was very bongga!!!
The following day, we woke up with muscle pains from the hike but we just laughed it out... We went to the beach instead which was located only at the back of Jo's house!!! Imagine?!! Well... we just spent almost the whole day to bathe!!!
The meals were very sumptuous! We had what the military call, boodle fight... :-D
Around 3 in the afternoon, we settled down. Rest from picture taking and shrieking and all that. We had to prepare for the church procession and the disco right after!!!
Would you believe that we ruled the dance floor even if we were not from the place?!
Grabeh... The people even said they never thought we are teachers! Hahahaha... It was embarrassing but t'was ok lang.. They don't know us man.. :-D
Guess what time we decided to go home?! 3a.m!!! Yes, as in 3a.m! And we had to walk 3km because we had no more means of transpo...
What was the result of the night out? Oversleeping!!! We woke up at around 11 in the morning already!!! Had a boodle fight brunch, bathed at the river and what next? We went to the fortune teller!!! Very very fascinating were the words of the woman... I even recorded it! What did she say? Well, that's a secret already... Only me and my friendshipz know it... :-D
After the fortune teller thing, they conceded when i asked them that we go to Albuera to see the beautiful Christmas Lights because they had a contest per barangay for the most beautiful decorations and lights... We were like in wonderland! It was so amazing!
We had our dinner near the lighthouse where there were barbecue stalls... Of course, we had our photo shoots again. That was our last night together...
I had to encourage Glaiz and Charlyn to go with me to Ormoc... Nor was going but with her dear Michael. So together with Niño and Jo, we went to Ormoc, strolled for awhile and we took a ride home.
Every single moment spent with these friends that i have made me think that we'll have a more profound relationship this 2010... That's according my vibrations...

Love Knocks When It's Ready
"Love they say comes in time. You don't have to wait for it. Love knocks when it's ready for you."
I have been in and out of love many times since I realized I am in a world full of it. Not just once, I have been hurt and seemed to have been burned in hell because i fell for it.
Sad...
When i fall inlove, i surely do. And when I say I LOVE YOU, i mean it. But what shakes it is that i could hardly move on once it's over... I could hardly open my heart and hit a brand new start. Well, this is me and I thought i'd be trying to move on over a love that's stupid, forever...
That was what i thought...
When at times i thought i'd fall inlove never, here comes the person i least expected to return... He has been the reason why i couldn't open my heart for someone new to come inside it. He broke my heart two (2) years ago. Two (2) years is already a very long time, right? But guess what?! I was still head over heels about him... I would make sure i'd get to reply when he would text me and all that... But of course, i already told myself that it was going nowhere... That he is never for me...
Love really knocks when it's ready.
When he came home from Cebu, we started to go out and alas! We're together now. Officially. Sometimes, I still can't believe that this has happened but love has it's own time. God answers prayers in due time.
I just hope though that this would last long. The love that's in us may not be forever but I am thankful that for now, we have each other... :-)

It's Toxic... Way below the Belt...

Things happen too fast... You may see me beside you now but in just a wink of an eye, i'll be gone.
These past few days has been too toxic for me... It's i guess not the job or even its nature... It's the people you are with. I believe in what my friend would always tell me, "You can never please everybody". It's indeed true. But even if you've already went through a smooth path with them or i thought i have but to no avail. It's as if you're starting another journey over and over again.
It hurts to think that those people whom you have known the longest are the ones mocking you... They're even the ones who thinks ill of you. Isn't it painful? It is... Reality bites.
Yesterday has been too toxic... We had our level meeting where issues were divulged... Responses has been way below the belt... That was because we didn't know the real score.. Who said this.. Who said that....
The climate yesterday was just as hot as every single thing that happened. Right at this very moment that i'm writing this blog, i'm still trying to dig deep into my heart who really holds the truth of all these issues... It's different when you're in between two opposite poles. And you've been with each of them for quite some time.
There's just this eeenky thought that's telling me that the "people" they're referring to as the ones always responsible of stories that are never true are the people who just want the best. It bothers me when they're scrutinized. hay....
What a life...

We'll Miss You

Life as you said is full of hellos and goodbyes... But this, as you leave is what i just considered as a "farewell" 'coz i know we'll still see you somewhere.. somehow...
We have met some time in June of this wonderful year for me, 2009. As for every impression i have for nuns, i thought you were the timid type... Very silent...
But as time passed by, i was able to dig deeper... You could relate and understand the ways of those who are outspoken... Thank you for sharing your gifts and talents here in Palo.
For now, we'll trudge through different paths but those paths will cross again some time... It was so nice having to meet and greet you. May your journey forever be blessed..
We'll miss you S. Luz!
